The Team at Norton Grange are going green this autumn and would like you to join them!

Bat Watching Experience Break

Bats are one of the most perplexing and strange creatures on the planet. How do they locate their prey in total darkness? Which bats might we find in our neighbourhoods?

 

- Daytime presentation and two evening bat walks in the Wildlife Park

 

- Identification workshop and bat sound analysis

 

Discover more about the life cycle of one of nature's most misunderstood creatures. Our experts put the records straight as they explain how bats navigate and hunt in total darkness. This area is home to species such as Lesser Horseshoe, Pipistrelle, Noctule and Daubentons, giving you the chance to see these creatures in their natural habitats.

Wildlife Experience

Wildlife Experience Break

Go wild with our Wildlife Experience Break at Cricket St. Thomas, which is packed full of information and activities based around the Wildlife Park.

 

- Guided tour with history, animal information and anecdotes

 

- Find out how Wildlife Parks work on an international and global scale

 

There will also be a presentation on environmental enrichment and how it is done, making and creating enrichment devices for the animals and a second guided walk looking at the native wildlife to be found in the Park.

 

Plus, be a keeper for the day, feed and even clean some of our animals, followed by a 'day in the life of' talk by one of our keepers!
